I've discovered that Middle-age has caught up with me (I'll be Elderly in 1.5 years.) Last week I picked up a bag of ice melt stuff at the local hardware store. Now 20 years ago I'd have just thrown it up on a shoulder and walked home with it as it was only 50 lbs. On the day in question I was using my daughter's wagon (she hasn't played with it in 20+ years so...) and I was still fagged out by the time I got home. Only 50 lbs, only about 1.5 miles, only a slight hill and not really that icy if you walked in the middle of the streets. I have become a wimp.

ps In my defence, I'd already walked 4 or 5 miles on earlier errands & shoveled my walks & my church's of the (small, maybe 3") overnite delivery.
