Thanks for the pictures and the story behind them!
Am I right to assume that your aunt did travel by train to and from Amsterdam?
Here in Switzerland and Germany trains are still a very common way of travelling, we (luckily) even still have daily night trains to various cities.
(OK, our "long distance" is not even close what is considered long distance in the US...
