See Joe Hereford's map of the Alamosa yard at [
ngdiscussion.net]. There's a slight discrepancy in that the map shows that the #2 and #3 tracks were tied into the main line a fair way east of the curve – rather than rounding the curve and heading south to La Jara and Antonito – a difference that this photo of the very last n.g. train departing Alamosa seems to confirm

But 1968 is many years after the last San Juan headed west on Track #2, so it's quite possible that the yard trackage had been re-arranged a bit sometime between 1950 and when Ernie took the above photo on 12/05/68.
