The Twin Bridges across the Animas River in fall color season

Greg Scholl's recent post about the Twin Bridges reminded me of a fall color hike to the bridges a few years ago. Scrambling up a scree slope gave a great view of trains coming up the valley and crossing the new bridge
Here is another train approaching the Twin Bridges thru dense but colorful vegetation
And a third train with 482 is not far behind
The first downgrade train is crossing the bridge
It is about time to start hiking back to Elk Park and to take the Colorado Trail to Molas Divide and Highway 550
