Location, location and location as they say in real estate! John was in the right spot, but more to the point, he shot a more head on picture which really emphasizes the size of the steam cloud. I was shooting from just past the trees visible on the right side of John's photo and had a bit more of a 3/4 viewpoint which shows the steam trailing back beautifully but lacks the drama of John's shot. If this was poker I'd have full house and John would have 4 aces!
