Vietnamese folks are usually quite friendly and outgoing, particularly the ladies. My wife is of Franco-Vietnamese origin, and after acing her American History, Constitution and Civics Tests, about to become a US Citizen. Two years ago, I took her on the first train ride of her life, though she grew up in Bien Hoa, hard by the Saigon-Hanoi main line and at night listening to French built steam pounding along. I chose for her the D&SNG in early October riding behind K-36 #486...wanted a K-28, but good enough. Durango was still green but by Silverton the hills were ablaze. Had our first Elk steak there. Never forget that trip. I had given her a Nikon D-7200 for her birthday. and she ran the shutter red hot that trip!
