Re: October 15 and a most unexpected ng adventure

I did a similar view in 2014. I walked down the old highway 17 grade all the way to the point. Not sure I went quite as far as you did, but it could be about the same. Is this trail-head on that old highway, or more to the left of it closer to Tanglefoot? One thing I have always wanted to do was hike to Tanglefoot for a westbound and get it on the lower section with a reflection in the little pond. With the bad knee that's not happening unless some sort of rail vehicle got me there. My brother went there in 2015-2016 I believe and got the engineer school train as well as the passenger train. 2 for the effort so to speak. Glad you can still get around with all the hiking.
