When Uncle Sam provided me with an all expenses paid tour of the Western Pacific in 1961, I found what was left of the 60 parked near the roundhouse in Honolulu. In 1968 I found the ex-ORL 36 still working in El Salvador for the FES as the switcher in Sonsonate. On my next visit to Sonsonate it had disappeared and was probably on the dead line. The third picture is what I believe is an ex-ORL boxcar that has been converted to the FES's link and pin standards.

In my many visits to and research into the railroads of Guatemala and El Salvador I have never heard mention of the ORL mikes making it to either Guatemala or El Salvador. The most complete listing of locomotives in Guatemala and El Salvador that I have seen is an article by Gerald Best in the R&LHS Bulletin which says nothing about the ORL mikes. According to his list the FES did get ORL 32,34,35 and 36, all as Tom said 2-8-0's. Which is not to say something didn't happen, but it would surprise me.
