Thanks to all of you! It is indeed Cripple Creek, which was my first guess. The National Hotel was demolished about 1920, so that helps date the photo. My original Identification of the photo was that it was indeed the F&CC possibly taken before 1920, but the more that I looked at it, I was not sure. I have stood in the same spot and looked up at those hills before, which was my first thought, but the older I get, the hazier everything gets. The two dry goods and the National were on Bennett Avenue, so the view is looking northeast towards Mineral Hill, on the left, then Carbonate Hill and Tenderfoot Hill as you move east. The track in the foreground is a spur, and probably ends at the street, and the track behind it is the tail track for the F&CC wye, with the depot being just off the right hand side of the photo. Based on the condition of the buildings (and the already demolished ones) I would guess that the photo may be about 1916.
