You are close Russ, actually documenting trains over Cumbres goes back 56 years, starting with three incredible days in May 1963 - riding the Rocky Mountain RR club trip from Chama to Alamosa, the next day catching a cab ride on 498 from Antonito to Alamosa, and riding the Illini RR club train from Alamosa to Durango on the third day. My big regret was that my dad would not let me ride the Illini run to Farmington the following day (but which unplanned circumstances allowed me to do in 1965).
Looking over my video clips, I decided that I really needed to have a view of 315 in the postings (initial thoughts had been to run 315 as helper to 463 and to include the the rotary tank car and an additional coach in the consist, but for various reasons that didn't happen). So 315 will remain on display until the ferry move to Antonito for the FRIENDS charter in early August.
