Hello again,
It's been a little over a year since the last update and the online map has reportedly reached over 50k views! Here and there I've been slowly redoing so many things that weren't correct or up to my standards, and I'm happy to see it has reached a point where it's starting to spread around on its own to display some of the most accurate content it could have.
To sort of celebrate, I decided this last month to create the new "Proposed Routes Layer". This layer is disabled by default but can be enabled by finding it in the menu to the left with all the other extras. This layer includes the Ouray-Ironton Electric Railway, and its proposed exchange with the D&RG in Ouray, sourced from the Preliminary location survey. Also included in this layer is the Proposed Silverton Northern extension to Frisco Tunnel above Animas Forks, and the Proposed Silverton 6 stall roundhouse. It also includes less accurate approximations of proposed routes up to Mineral Point and up Cataract Gulch, sourced from the CRRM Reprint map I discussed in
This thread.
Thats all the big new stuff- I would list the places I've gone through and redone, but I don't think I could list them all. Ironton, Sheridan Junction, Chattanooga, Silverton, and Durango saw a lot of improvements over the last year, among tons of smaller locations. I've also gone through to rename a ton of items and rewrite a lot of descriptions to be consistent and clearer.
As always, you can view the map online
