The book is Pacific Coast Shay - Strong Man of the Woods , by Dan Ranger, Jr., and published by Golden West Books. original printing in 1961 and reprinted by the publisher several times after that.

Currently there are about 26 copies of it listed at AbeBooks.com. Most of the individual used book dealers are asking reasonable prices.
