Good one Kelly. I remember watching the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie at a theater in Avon, NC while on the Outer Banks. That evening we did a sunset boat cruise in Ocracoke Harbor, and the sailing ship had a pirate flag. Told the Captain and first mate we had just seen the show, and they said they saw it at the same time that same afternoon. There was lots of pirate activity in the area we were visiting(Black Beard, etc).
Guess you are guys are fired up about N&W 611 coming. I heard they had to add events since the first ones sold out so fast. Hope its a good money maker for you and the VMT. I rode in the cab of 611 about 50 miles in 1986!
Frank Collins was the engineer(ran during the steam era), Bob Saxton and Tim Sposato fired. Sposato is still in Sugar Creek at the former Ohio Central, now Age of Steam Roundhouse. Saxton still travels with 611 sometimes I think. Hope your rail is heavy enough for the big rigid J!!!
