To really appreciate how much the trees have grown in that area we need to go back in time and look back at the tank from the opposite direction. All of these have been posted previously, but not at the same time. This first one features the very first Phraud-O-Phreight® on the C&TS, the 'Toltec Rattler' of October 22, 1972

Jumping forward to September, 2009, the trees are definitely beginning to seriously impinge on the view

By October 2012 it was impossible to include the state line sign, the telegraphone shack, and the water tower all in one photo — even with a wide-angle lens

As noted a few years ago, it would take a large herd of beavers living in Cresco Creek to get the trees under control.
