Ernie's photos from 07/18/68 show several flats of Weidman lumber passing through Monero (see [
ngdiscussion.net]). It probably depended somewhat upon which cars were available in Durango – there would normally have been a lot of empty boxcars that had hauled bags of drilling mud chemicals (including Baroid for weight and maybe my dad's Polytone® for viscosity?) to Farmngton. OTOH, as noted above, all fourteen loads of the last real freight over Cumbres on 08/29/68 were boxcars filled with Weidman's lumber.
