Well you sure know how to get to me. Thats one of my favorite shots on the C&TS. On those types of scenes its hard to capture everything well, but with your two cameras one gets the perspective of the whole scene, as well as some closer views of the engine and train within as you dissolve between the two cameras as the train progresses. There is so much to like in this 7+ minutes. Beyond the two cameras and nice editing lets look at the things that are not really controlled by the photographer....pretty good lighting, good smoke from 315 which I hear is a rarity, and superb sound. The constant beat of the exhaust is incredible and is nearly the same all the way, just like a real train would be on that stretch in the old days. This was a photo special, but not a runby if I remember right. I know in the past I liked this shot of yours so much I attempted to get there in 2014, and only did $2200.00 damage to my Mazda Tribute with 4WD. I guess next time I should go with someone who knows the way precisely. I don't expect to top your 315 sequence however. Well done!
