Alas, One of the bulkhead flats was on the original equipment lists for the C&TS. It and several other cars were located west of Chama. The D&RGW quickly got wise to that plan, and said, "Uh, no. We're not sending you a train east from Durango. Nice try. We'll substitute some nearly identical cars located in Alamosa......"
A couple of 6500's with a load wrapped in white plastic would do however.....
