Kevin, Bill Moyers and I asked how we could support the charter. We did not want to ride as I almost always get better photos chasing. In the past there were some charters or special trains that asked for chaser passes. I would have gladly paid for a chaser pass. Many years ago, Otto Perry, Dick Kindig and others would buy a ticket on Rocky Mountain RR Club excursions but would chase the train in Otto's old car. So this is not a new situation. I wish more thought would be given by the folks who put these on to accommodate both. I have had photos ruined by riders on the train wearing Denver Bronco caps in the caboose cupola.
Most of the C&TS is accessible by vehicles, so you are not going to stop it. The only place on the narrow gauge where you cannot follow in a car is between Rockwood and Silverton on the D&S.
