I fired the BAR from the fantail of my ship at sea (I was assigned to the Landing Party) at targets towed behind. Got to love it, heavy but very accurate and with enough practice, controllably in full auto fire. This was in the olden days, of course, the old ketchup and bean Navy. Wooden ships and iron men (or was it the other way around?)
