I'm not sure how the photo shoot went, but during it the troops were "over there" fighting the Germans. So the fighting may have happened before this shot or after it.
The reenactment group I'm sure knows their stuff, so perhaps they are returning from the war in this photo. Kevin Madore has a photo essay for this, a few photos show loading a wounded soldier into the coach. So pretend they are in France.
