Yes, that's a true statement -
SFAIK, no K-36's ran on the Silverton Branch until well after abandonment of the San Juan Extension from Chama to Durango and Farmington.
#492 didn't even make it to Rockwood that day – March 19, 1963 – due to ice on the track, and had to back into town

I'm sure one of the many historians here on the NGDF – someone with a better memory than mine – can tell us which was the first K-36 to arrive in Silverton and when, and also when K-37 #497 first arrived there.
