When #70 was converted to oil it received the burner from CB&Q #537. It also swapped tenders with #537.
CB&Q #537 and all the engines in the Black Hills were converted to oil in the 1920's due to National Forest regulations.
#537 was converted back to coal when it was leased to the C&S.
