Interestingly, the Apple Maps map view shows the road across the river to cross a bit west of the current ford. Switching to the satellite view there is evidence of a old road to where the map view shows the crossing. The maps view is probably based on some USGS maps that have not been updated. I am going to guess that the log bridge was where the maps view shows the crossing, and was west of the ford. The river is narrower to the west and it was probably easier to build a shorter bridge, whereas the ford is where the river widens and is shallower.
I am guessing whoever shot the film drove across the river, parked, and climbed the hill a bit. This would have provided a view of the railroad from down around where I got my shot all the way to where the track makes the final curve into Osier. I think the road in the last dark frame is the road from Osier down to the bridge.
