483 and 493 both looked good in June 1968 when I was there. They both were on the FIRST train of 1968 from Chama-Alamosa on June 5th, having come over on the 4th. We were busy with 498 that day from Durango. Good times, and looking back were fortunate to get anything since it turned out to be so few runs. We almost got the next run on the 13th, but dad finally gave up waiting around so long.
