I was the skipper of a 72' boat in Vietnam & we used to heat
C-ration cans on the exhaust manifolds of the dizzle engines.
There was no other cooking facility on the those boats.
If you warmed the cans when things were not real busy you
got pretty good at testing the cans with your fingers.
