Re: 487 is not under an extension

487 is finnishing its 48 month part of the old code where they have 60 months to complete before extensions were required. It is my understanding that no special consideration was sumitted for the locomotive to be grandfathered into the new code. by January 18, 2001. If things had been done in the past we would not have the problems of today.
