The 1203 is a C-C locomotive

The 1203 was built as a C-C. I expect that it still is a C-C.

The Diesel specialists note that the 1203 was the third C-C diesel built for domestic sale. The first two were built in 1936 by GE for the Illinois Central use in Chicago.

Similarly there is erroneous information out there on internet that says that all of the White Pass 6-axle diesels are A1A-A1A. In reality they were all built as C-C locomotives.
