1203, Hard on track?

Just a WAG, but IF 1203 is hard on the track, I'd expect it had more to do with the rigid wheelbase of the trucks causing problems in the sharper curves than the gross weight.
Note that I'm speculating here, I don't know the rigid length of the trucks. For SG C trucks run around 134"-170" with most near to 150", A-1-A 126"-170" most around 160". (the shorty are from MLW and Alco) info from a quick flip through 2nd Diesel Spotters Guide(1973), pgs 10-20. I've no idea what NG trucks would run.
