Here is a shot of #100's boiler years later taken at Union, Ore. I have no idea why it ended up at Union, but presumably someone intended to use it in stationary service. I think this is one of the boilers we have sitting at the SVRR McEwen yard. I thought I would have a photo for comparison but did not locate one in my photos, so perhaps some investigation will be needed in the future to confirm this, unless others know for sure. Rumor has it that #100 was offered to Baker City for free to place as a park engine. Based on this 1952 photo one can see that it would have needed some considerable sprucing up for it to be put on display. I think it was scrapped in 1954 which coincides with the sale of OLC and SVRy to Edward Hines Lbr., ie. they probably were probably just cleaning up the "junk" on the property.
