The 223 was moved from Liberty Park to the Rio Grande Depot (now the Utah State Historical Society Complex) in the 1980's.
The late 1990's the 223 was moved (by lowboy truck) to the Utah State Railroad Museum/Ogden Union Station for storage and restoration.
The tender rebuilding is under way and also the reconstruction of the cab.
The 223 is in storage in the South Storage Area at the Museum.
