Considering the extreme weather in the Colorado Rockies, especially near the Continental Divide, and having driven through South Park during a few of those weather extremes, there is a reasonable argument to be made that the building ended up being repaired, perhaps extensively, during its existence. And, there's a possibility that parts of other buildings, perhaps from that area, perhaps not, were used in the repair.
Ever been to the town of Corona? Or, 11 miles away, Arrow, CO?
I will say that the folks that are restoring the railroad in the area of Como are, in my mind, in my opinion, heroes. Yes, here are some "compromises" as there always are, but bringing back history is simply awesome! Since I was a child. Yes. A child, in the 1960's when I first saw the Como Roundhouse, I've always wanted to see inside of it. And now, I, and my son, will have that opportunity. And my deepest thanks to those that have taken on the project, and the owner, who is obviously dedicated to restoring a piece of Colorado Railroad history.
