Here's some footage showing the 7 at Roaring Camp with the original "Desert Chime." When the engine was rebuilt several years later, it wore a second one which also made the rounds on the 12 and 14. Phil Reader was the whistle's custodian and took it with him to Silver Plume, which was fitting considering SP steam head Neil Vodden, who probably had a hand in "liberating" it back in the 50s, had also run on the Loop. The second whistle was a true Star Brass Co. variant with fins, whereas I think the first was a true SP-cast copycat (no fins).
