The SP 6-chime on the 10 is off the 2422, a P-4 class Pacific. If I remember right, it had been a retirement gift to noted Bay Area live steamer Vic Shattock, a Western Division vet who had built several models of the engine (then only recently cut up). He in turn passed it along to another retired SP head who was either friends with and/or worked for YMSPRR founder Rudy Stauffer, hence how it ended up out in Fish Camp.
My personal favorite is the SP 5-chime that was on the 7, which per my understanding was what followed it over from the Swayne (and presumably Butte & Plumas). It left the engine at some point and arrived in Felton via the cab of Heisler No. 3 after Norman Clark's boys went out picking in the early '60s, only to return to the 7 when Roaring Camp purchased it in 1986. Unfortunately it's no longer with the engine.
