I've been doing a little research into logging Mallets and stumbled onto this page describing the paint schemes of the loggers:
Paint and Finish on Logging Mallets
I knew I had the spec sheets for the Uintah locos around somewhere in my materials and tonight I found them with (GUESS WHAT!!!) Definitive proof of the original color of the Uintah 2-6-6-2s!
Yes, they were indeed GREEN with aluminum lining and red roof just as described on the above webpage! I can't be the first one to discover this, please tell me someone else knew this! But if someone else did, they were hiding it for 51 years! Conspiracy! Conspiracy!
Sorry, I will be offline for a while assembling my tinfoil hat collection, fake news links and generally babbling on about nothing...
