A number of us keep waiting for a good history of the IRCA. Jerry Best started the process with a nice article in the R&LHS journal. And there have been some articles in Trains and probably elsewhere. John Kirchner and Dave Braun were working on a serious history (I gave them my stuff) then Dave passed away. Don't know if John is still working on that. While living in Washington, DC I discovered a complete set of IRCA annual reports in the old AAR Library, and photo copied a lot of pages. Since no one else was doing anything I plaguerized Jerry Best's article, and added a lot of info gleaned from the annual reports, and wrote a "short history" that can be found
HERE. I am neither a serious historian or a good writer, so this effort was really intended to organized what I had. But maybe it will be of some interest absent something more substantial.
