I agree with Hank on the passenger cars..
More over, the San Juan Baggage car, 163 that was recently acquired, is still in its San Juan Express 1937 rebuild configuration. So the Head-end cars will have the 1937 configurations, but the coaches will be in the 1923-24 rebuild configuration.
Bottom line, who cares? The consist will look GREAT!
But this does open the possibly of a Passenger Car swap with the D&S....
The D&S has the following San Juan Express equipment: Coaches 312 319 323 327 and of course Parlor Car Alamosa.
The C&TS will have Baggage Car 163 and RPOs 54 and 65.
So the C&TS loans their cars to the D&S and in return, the D&S loans their cars to the C&TS... Both railroads could offer a true San Juan Consist for the first time in 70 years...
Just dreaming a little bit.....
