I am really sorry to hear of Ken's passing. During my years living in Colfax, CA, Ken was very supportive of myself and the group that formed the Placer-Sierra Railroad Heritage Society. Ken provided all kinds of encouragement and advice regarding the initial restoration of the NWP caboose in Colfax. During one of our excursions, he took us all up to the area of the Drum Power House above Alta, If I recall correctly, Ken spent some time growing up in that area and spent his younger days hanging around the NCNG. He gave many talks and slide shows for the PSRHS and I learned much from Ken and the history of Placer and Nevada County.

Rest in Peace my Friend...
