I recall about 1980 when I ws just about to Graduate from Georgia Tech that the fellow who later became green frog showed us some nice movies of NG items and had used a PFM sound system to dub the sound.

At the time I thought it was fine and liked it. About 1986 or 7 I purchased my first live steam locomotive (4.75" gauge) and the PFM sound system dubbed sounds became awful. I would rather have no sound (no music or steam sounds) than to have mismatched sound.
