Fort Morgan is still in use, Brighton is still there, however I think they are wanting to tear it down. Eaton is home to the Renewable Fiber, Inc. Sand facility as noted above. Loveland still has the Great Western diesel shop behind the Sugar factory. Johnstown is also mostly there.

Both my grandfathers actually worked at the sugar factories. One a gaurd at the Brighton plant and the other at the Loveland plant as a maintenance man, fixing machines, cleaning things, in the "pellet room", etc. He also recalls seeing the little 0-4-0T's running around the yard. He said he always loved seeing them run around. He also mentioned them testing a diesel but it didn't work because of the beet bathes, he seemed to remember them having electrical problems so they went back.
