Hi,
That's the beautiful arid desert of the American Southwest. Many see nothing but desolation and will drive those types of roads at night.
This is the wide open expanse of the west where you feel there's nothing to stop you - you can seemingly touch the left horizon and right horizon by just reaching out far enough. All my troubles seem so much smaller when I stand at such a location. It is very similar to the feeling I felt when I stood in Rocky Mountain National Park - with the amazing sight that I was standing above the clouds and skys and trees.
Never felt that until I hit the American West (plains, prairies, deserts, mountains). I here it's similar for sailors when land is out of site.
Where is the San Juan School District of the school bus - which state? I always assume Colorado but that might not be right.
Thanks.
