Marshall Pass even saw some trains after abandonment was authorized. Same with the Chili Line. A train with six cars of revenue freight showed up in Santa Fe a week after the last scheduled run of Sept. 1, 1941. Technically the train was a scrap train but why not make a little money on the side. The 470 was the engine.
