A number of years ago (probably mid-naughties) we had two visitors at Cumbres. The woman said she was born in the front room of the section house. Her mother was the section foreman's wife and was supposed to go down to Chama the following week for the, uh, blessed event, but the baby had other ideas and showed up early. Her older brother was with her and remembered living in the section house, although he was pretty young at the time. The front room was the parent's living / bedroom, the middle room was the kitchen and the kids shared the back room.
The section men shared the rest of the building but the kids had strict instructions not to interact with them.
