It looks to me like the superelevation in that photo is exaggerated a bit - even the corners of the depot are leaning into the curve . . .

It sorta was, hsuthe -
Overnight from Denver to Walsenburg, then enjoy the more scenic part of the trip during the day (at least during the summer). Standard gauge over (South) La Veta Pass on the standard gauge, then from Alamosa to Durango on three-foot rails.
