Was 489 at Cresco the first pile-up of a K-36??

Also was 451 considered to have the "hex" after the boiler explosion on Marshall Pass in the '20's? I always thought it was kind of odd it was in the shop for that at the time the others were getting piston valves and superheaters, yet 451 came back out in the earlier format...
