If you search the backlog for posts by Jimmy Blouch he has given us a wealth of information, there are quite a few cars left for turns back and forth in the late 40's.

Photos of the valley line between Alamosa and Hooper show plenty of high side and drop bottom gondolas, as well as boxcars. Contents unknown. As well as stock cars moving around the system to service local stock services at different times.
