Folks,
Looking further at the Emma Nevada Facebook pages; the museum intends to keep the locomotive as Ward Kimball's Emma Nevada.

From another source I find that she has a replacement boiler made of steel. At a guess it will need repairs not replacement.

The story is ongoing.

Then there is the other plantation locomotive that Kimball had which he named Cloe. The plan is to get her running also. There is track work going on outside the car barn to give her a place to run according to the OERM Gazette.
