Hi,
Glad you enjoyed the photos. Often it is the less than professional photos that might turn up a missing nuggett.
With everyone here excited about the 1968 re-enactments of the last D&RGW runs and some who think about the C&TS and its 50 year anniversary in 2020, Some (especially younger ones) may not realize that the Georgetown Loop is about as old a tourist operation as the C&TS. The Ashby's (Thanks you very much for your work) decided in 1967 to rebuild the Central City switchback. By August 1968, Ashby's Colorado Central was open.
I checked the booklet "Three Foot Rails" about the Central City Line, but there is no information about when the Geogetown Loop rebuilding started. If someone knows when it started, I'd be very interested to know.
I have posted scans of "Three Foot Rails" somewhere but can not locate it.
