We have just about 1500 feet of unused yard track in the National City Yard in San Diego. There are 3 tracks unused any more. Google map the National City depot and look south across the street, 3 tracks to the west side are rusted and unused. Lots of other track around San Diego is unused too, the old Coronado branch sits open and is accessible at night with the old F street crossover. They stored cars on it about 15 years ago.
Kinda as far as you can get from Denver, but its here.
