Thanks for posting Martin, and great color shot John! Here are a couple of photos taken by John Lewis at South Baker Sep. 10, 1955. They are from the SVRR Archives collections. John was able to get a cab ride that day as they moved a few loads out to the UP. The archives has a copy of a write up he did on this experience. The 3rd photo also taken by John on his visit to the SVRy shows an interesting perspective on the 3 rail track. The right hand branch originally led to the round house which was beyond the office buildings. By 1955 it went to the lumber loading area. The middle track was originally the SVRy mainline, passing by the oil fueling station for 250 and 251, the water tower, the engine house, machine shop, old wood yard and then on out of town. At the time of the photo it leads to storage tracks, the engine house and machine shop. It also is the South leg of the wye. The left hand track originally led to the WH Eccles mill across the river, but by this time leads out to the 3 rail interchange track along the UP mainline. It also formed the N. leg of the wye. The track behind the photographer which was the mainline back to the Baker depot also led back past the site of the Baker White Pine mill.
