For the record, the 1203 did not require any modifications to make it through the cut. When John and I took the 1203 on its maiden trip down the hill, it cleared everything until we got to the lower bridge just up hill from the Devil's Gate station. That's where the step had to be cut to let her pass the bridge brace. After that the 1203 did scrape the concrete passenger platform a little at Devil's Gate, but that was it. She cleared everything else;
not by very much but it did clear. The first trip through the cut was done very slowly because we didn't know for sure that it was going to clear.
Where the 130 and 140 modified by Lindsey when they first came to the Loop?? What was changed?
